  • This young cub along with his mother, another beautiful cinnamon bear, and a black sibling were in a tree just west of the Africa lake turn out on the road from mammouth to swan lake flats. We saw them a second time down by the lake and they walked up crossing the road at the turn out.

  • Looking down
  • Time to turn around. Talk about being out on a limb.
  • One step at a time.
  • A safe place to relax
  • Note the size of the limb. This cub went way out. Mom stayed by the trunk and didn't seen the least concerned.
  • Note the shape of the claws. It is this shape that makes the black bear such a good climber.
